- New case study on child domestic workers made available
in UK
A case study on child domestic workers has been an eye opener
for all of us. The study has been conducted over four years
in several parts of West Bengal. Statistics are shocking
and the living conditions even more so. The legislation now
prohibits hiring children under fourteen as domestic workers.
- Secretary-General’s Study on Violence against
Children to be presented on 11th October 2006
The study will be presented in New York to the General Assembly
on 11th October 2006. The launch of the book will be proceeded
by other events. A roundtable conference including a variety
of individuals – experts, public figures and children
will be held the next day. |
